If you’ve booked your outdoor boudoir session in the ferns, get ready for something straight out of a fairytale. This hidden forest spot is one of Utah’s most magical backdrops—lush, green, soft, and glowing with filtered light. You’ll be surrounded by tall trees, wild greenery, and the peaceful hush of nature. Most clients say it feels like stepping into their soft, divine, goddess energy. We’ll be shooting on uneven, earthy terrain with shade and dappled sunlight, so be sure to bring water, bug spray, and shoes you can walk in. There are no restrooms or changing areas, but I’ll guide you through everything and make it feel easy and comfortable. Wear something simple to change out of, and bring your styled looks in a small bag. You’ll receive the GPS pin 24–48 hours before your session and we’ll meet nearby to hike in together. Because this is a wild outdoor setting, please note that LeeAnn Fulton Boudoir is not responsible for any accidents or injuries during travel or the session. That said, this is a grounding, goddess-level experience you won’t forget. You’ll leave with more than beautiful photos—you’ll leave feeling seen, strong, and soulfully reconnected to yourself.

Fern-Covered Forest – Hidden Gem in Northern Utah
About 1.5 hours from Salt Lake City
We’ll meet at a nearby landmark and hike in together
Terrain is shaded, green, and earthy—like a secret woodland escape
Exact GPS pin will be texted 24–48 hours before your session
Timing + Best Light
We shoot during the Blue hour | very early morning when the light is soft and glowing through the trees
Best season: Late spring through early fall (July & August) when the ferns are full and green
Overcast days are actually magical here—light diffuses beautifully through the canopy
The vibe: You, glowing like an ethereal woodland goddess
What to Expect on location
Yes there is a bathroom, no cell service—just greenery, trees, and total peace
Expect the foliage to grab at your legs. wear jeans or something to cover your legs to get to the location.
We’ll walk a short distance into the ferns (flat, but natural footing)
Expect to feel grounded, beautiful, and completely held by nature
What to Bring
Water
Hiking sandals or old sneakers to walk to the location
Optional: barefoot or slip-on boots once we’re on set to get from one spot to another
Bug spray (yes—this is the woods!)
Your personal outfits or accessories for the shoot
Lip balm + light makeup touch-up item (optional)
What to Wear in the car
Loose, comfy clothes to change out of (robe, oversized tee, etc.)
You do not need to arrive Outfit ready—we’ll do final prep on site
Have your hair & makeup done and ready to shoot when you arrive.
Layers are smart—it may be cool and shaded in the trees
What to Wear for your shoot!
We’re going for soft, forest-fairy vibes—think natural, earthy, and magical.
Colors: White, Sage green, nude, brown, Creams, dusty pink, soft neutrals
Textures: Lace, knit, gauze, mesh, soft tulle, flowy fabrics
Lingerie sets: Bralettes, cheeky bottoms, vintage-inspired pieces
Extras: Flowing robes, body chains, flower crowns, long sheer skirts
Go Bare: Totally optional, but beautiful in this secluded space
Shoes: Barefoot, boots, or no shoes at all once we’re shooting
Bring 1–2 outfit options in a bag that’s easy to carry, and we’ll decide on the perfect look once we see the light and setting. If you’re unsure, feel free to send me a few outfit pics before your session and I’ll help guide the vibe.
